Silvia Bordiga earned her PhD in Chemical Sciences from the University of Turin, where she is now Full Professor of Chemistry. Her research focuses on heterogeneous catalysis and the spectroscopic study of nanostructured materials. She combines lab and synchrotron techniques to investigate active sites and reaction mechanisms. Her work includes industrial collaborations and contributions to zeolites and MOFs, including UiO-66. Sustainability and energy efficiency are core themes of her scientific approach.
