CFF is a yearly international conference, which has reached its 8th edition, on the frontiers of Chemical Research. The idea of CFF is to convey every year several outstanding scientists from different sectors of chemistry. Every edition of CFF is organized by the 2nd year PhD students of the Doctoral School in Chemistry and Materials Science (DSCM) of the University of Pisa.
CFF 2024 will host:
• 7 outstanding Plenary Lectures held by scientists from all over the world
• 18 keynote lectures, held by 3rd year PhD students
• short oral communications presented by younger researchers
• poster sessions presented by PhD students of the 1st and 2nd year, undergraduates, etc.
• social events and network: coffee breaks, happy hour, social dinner… You will a have the possibility to socialize and create a network in an international environment.
Participation in the conference is totally free for all members.
Poster contributions from young scientists on the forefront of chemical research will be welcome.
For the speakers who request it, all travel expenses are covered by the PhD program funding.

Practical information:
- The conference will be held in Aula Magna (034) and a second room (021) will be provided, in case of overcrowding, for the entire duration of the conference.
- During the registration, participants will be provided with all the conference material and the necessary to display the posters.
- Poster stands will be available for the setup from the 3rd July morning.
- Social dinner

Time: 8.00 pm
Dinner contribution: 25€ for full professors and assistant professors, 15€ for PhD students, students, and research fellows. Please note that payment is to be made during the conference registration, and only cash payments will be accepted.
Best Plenary Lecture:
The Best Plenary Lecture will be selected by the PhD students of DSCM and the author will be invited to hold a short course in the next academic year.
The best invited lecture of CFF2023 voted by the students is Peter VANDENABEELE, from University of Ghent, with the lecture entitled “Mobile Raman Spectroscopy: an ideal tool for the investigation of cultural heritage”.
