Chemistry for the Future (CFF) is a yearly international conference, which has reached its 10th edition, on the frontiers of Chemical Research. The idea of CFF is to convey every year several outstanding scientists from different sectors of chemistry. Every edition of CFF is organized by the 2nd year PhD students of the Doctoral School in Chemistry and Materials Science (DSCM) of the University of Pisa.
CFF 2026 will host:
• outstanding Plenary Lectures held by scientists from all over the world
• 17 keynote lectures, held by 3rd year PhD students
• short oral communications presented by younger researchers
• poster sessions
• social events and network: coffee breaks, happy hour, social dinner. You will a have the possibility to socialize and create a network in an international environment.
Participation
Participation in the conference is totally free for all members, with a maximum number of around 100 participants.
A contribution will be asked for the Social Dinner and better defined later with all the related information.
Poster contributions from young scientists on the forefront of chemical research will be welcome.
For the speakers who request it, all travel expenses are covered by the PhD program funding.
Please see the section “Latest Editions” for information on the previous editions.
Best Plenary Lecture
The Best Plenary Lecture will be selected by the PhD students of DSCM and the author will be invited to hold a short course in the next academic year.
The best invited lecture of CFF2025 voted by the students is Prof. Kevin Lam (University of Greenwich).
