Danielle Laurencin is a CNRS researcher at the Institut Charles Gerhardt in Montpellier (France). She received her PhD in 2006 from the University Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris) in the field of inorganic chemistry (polyoxometalates). Then, she performed a 2-year post-doc at the University of Warwick (UK), during which she worked on the characterization of substituted apatites by solid state NMR. In 2009, she joined the CNRS. Her current research activities are at the interface between synthetic chemistry and solid state NMR, with a particular focus on (i) developing new 17O-labeling schemes using mechanochemistry, and (ii) studying the structure of calcium-phosphate biomaterials, including by 43Ca and 17O NMR.
